Web Work

Content Management Systems

Give me a choice of any content management system then I would go for Wordpress, without a choice I’ve got plenty of experience of using any CMS that comes with a project.

I have horror stories — Red Dot and me fought a battle for six months when working on the Gala Bingo website — and we can share them if we want to, dear reader.

However I have no story of failures. No stories where the content management system beat me and no stories where — in the end — the website did not do what I wanted it to do eventually.

Umbracco is a curious beast but mastered, Drupal and Joolma are effective. SilverStripe, DotNetNuke and Radiant have some charms and so on.

Eventually, they all bend to what we want to do if you know where to apply the right pressure.
